“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.” Daniel 3:17-18 (NLT)
“Even if He doesn’t” – that is a big statement! Even if God doesn’t provide, heal, restore my marriage, save my kid, give me that promotion, bring back everything to normal, take away COVID … this can go on and on. That’s what Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego said before facing the flames. Even if God didn’t save them, they were willing to die for their faith. Church, are so we strong in our faith that we would be willing to die for it?
Think about it….
For a moment, let’s say that these three guys were talking to COVID…
“COVID, you are real and you are deadly, but we serve a God that is able to save us from you. Even if God doesn’t save us from you, we will not be afraid or bow down to the spirit of fear.”
As disciples of Jesus, let us have big faith that God is with us through it all. Keep praying and speaking faith over your household.
Fear will not win!
Lord, we know You are with us—we believe it! We will not fear. We will not fold over to the misinformation out there. As we hang out with You, we will hear the truth and You will give us wisdom and power to overcome with the testimony of our great faith. In Jesus’ Name, I speak life over Your church, Your people. May we continue to follow Jesus everywhere He takes … us even into the flames.
