Forever Thankful

“Do not be afraid, for I am with you.” Isaiah 43:5 (NIV)

But he (the Lord) said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12: 9 (NIV)

God is always with us. Rejoice and be glad!

The Thanksgiving holiday is a wonderful time for rest, reflection, and, yes, feasting. Spending time with loved ones and friends. Sharing positive greetings via texts, emails, phone calls, or face-to-face meetings puts us all in a good mood and strengthens our bonds as we move into the final days of 2023.

As believers, we have been firsthand witnesses to God’s presence in important moments of the year. What times do you recall from 2023 when you experienced the Lord with you in making a big decision or resolving a problem in a relationship?

We all have times when we become desperate for a change with something going on in our lives. It might be a lack of money, loneliness, poor health, or family dynamics. We try to initiate a change but get nowhere. Jesus is always with us and can provide the answers we need.

These are the miracles of God that we get to see. These miracles are not the grand moments of the sea parting or Jesus walking on the water, but they are significant times in our lives when God shows His grace and power because He loves us.

As Christ’s followers, we cannot always expect to be strong in all circumstances, because we are human and we all have our limitations. However, Jesus is always sufficient and always available. He is never weak, and in his compassion, He will give us what we need every time.

Prayer:
Our God. Our Father. We get down on our knees to praise You because You are worthy! You show us how much You love us and we sense Your presence in our lives. We thank You, Jesus. We sing “Hallelujah!” and praises to Your name. You redeemed us when we were wanderers who had lost our way. You are strong for us in our times of weakness. You are a great and mighty God! Amen
