Trust in the Lord

New Season Church of Ventura

Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go.
Proverbs 3:5-6

Jesus has come out of the grave!

He is alive! His death happened so that new God-centered influences might rise for all of us. God did it for us so that all the benefits of the resurrection would follow those who believe. Cling to the Son of God.

Now – Today, we have a great opportunity to increase the good and let negative aspects die in our own personal lives: attitudes, habits, lifestyles, jobs, dreams, finances, our perspective of life overall.

When Abraham took Isaac up Mount Moriah, he was confronted with a very difficult decision—whether to trust God.

He thought his son would become someone special. Abraham had plans for him. The great joy he had experienced having a son in his old age looked like it was about to end. The Bible tells us God commanded him to sacrifice his son Isaac. Abraham obeyed and didn’t question God.

“And Abraham picked up the knife to kill his son as a sacrifice.”
Genesis 22:10 (NLT)

What is the Lord commanding us to sacrifice?

Abraham obeyed God. Then an Angel sent by the Lord stopped the sacrifice of Isaac and this is what God told Abraham: I will certainly bless you. I will multiply your descendants beyond number, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will conquer the cities of their enemies.”
Genesis 22:17 (NLT)

Here we go! Lord, we trust You with the future. We trust You as we sacrifice knowing You will resurrect new things as we enter a New Season together.

I love you with all my heart. Rejoice and be glad…
