You say: If I had a little more, I should be very satisfied. You make a mistake. If you are not content with what you have, you would not be satisfied if it were doubled. – C.H. Spurgeon, The Spurgeon Series
Thanksgiving creates abundance. We have turkey, mashed potatoes, veggies, and pies. Some of us have different food because of our culture. The bottom line is there is a lot of great food and plenty of it. Let us be thankful for the people who prepared it.
Being satisfied is understanding that all we have is because of God. He made it happen. He uses the food, the people, and even the mess. This Thanksgiving let’s be content with what we have and show our love for the people in our lives. Only then can we truly appreciate the gifts, the blessings … and the mess.
Thank you, Lord, for it all! Only You know what’s best for us. We will eat our food and enjoy the gathering of family and friends. We will be thankful and satisfied because we know with Jesus, we have enough.
Happy Thanksgiving! Let us be a witness to our family and friends. Let us be like the Jesus of the Bible and reflect His love. He loves everyone. Do your part by loving others as He continues to love you.
