It’s Not About the Numbers

Many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony. “He told me all that I ever did.” So, when the Samaritans came to him, they asked him to stay with them, and he stayed there two days. And many more believed because of his word. They said to the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.” John‬ 4:39-42‬ (ESV)‬‬

We are about people. Jesus’ ministry wasn’t about a building. Jesus was about people. He went to them. He found them. And He used all the resources given to Him to help the people. We the church – His people – are also sent to go and find the one and help them with all the resources given to us.‬‬‬‬‬‬

Where did the church lose its way and make it about buildings and numbers? What happened? Jesus simply witnessed to one woman and that one woman brought more people. They heard Jesus, they saw Jesus and believed for themselves that Jesus truly was the Savior of the World. 

Go tell someone about Jesus and let the rest take care of itself through the power of the Holy Spirit. Be about one person. You don’t have to invite them to church, just invite them into your life and let them see Jesus in you. That is how we bring back honor to His Church by being the Jesus in the Bible. 

Invite someone into your life. This is the best time of our lives! We have God and now we need to gather His people. One person at a time.
