Jesus in All My Life

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23

Happy November!

For the next two months the theme at our church is “Jesus in all my life.” Wow! Many of us have heard a teaching where we’re reminded that “all” means “all.” If we can embrace this concept of Jesus in “all my life” we are guaranteed to experience personal transformation, a closer relationship with God, and a positive change in our closest relationships.

This is the “hope” in Hebrews 10:23. It is an exciting promise that God gives us if we are faithful. But “Jesus in all my life” – how is that possible?

It’s kind of like facing any task that seems too big and difficult. When Moses stood on the shores of the Red Sea, did he really imagine what God was about to do? The bible says he reached out his hand over the sea and God responded by bringing high winds that would eventually hold the waters back so the exodus could continue and the people were safe from the pursuing Egyptians.

The Lord promises, “He will fulfill His purpose for me” (Psalm 138:8). We can be assured that if we make a genuine effort to put Jesus first in our daily lives and allow Him to have His rightful place of authority, then we will be lovingly guided by His purpose.

Paul hears the Lord tell him, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me” (2 Corinthians 12:8-9). Let’s spend more time with Him and get closer.

See you Sunday at Barranca Vista Park at 12noon.
