“Inside the Tent of Meeting, the Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Afterward Moses would return to the camp, but the young man who assisted him, Joshua son of Nun, would remain behind in the Tent of Meeting.”
Exodus 33:11 (NLT)
Imagine being in the presence of God and having this face to face, friendship relationship with the God who created heaven and Earth. Wow!
Let’s talk about this. This verse is not suggesting that Moses was actually seeing God’s face. No way. He would have died on the spot. The term “face to face” is a figurative expression suggesting openness and friendship. Something God has always desired with His Children. You and me.
As you spend time with the Lord, know this…He desires you every day.
Seek Him. Want Him. His presence is way better than anything else.
Lord, we desire you. Please continue to help us in our struggles. We need you as we fight the good fight of faith.
Church, remember to:
Love God
Love your neighbor
Love yourself
