Power Through Faith

“But the boy’s mother said, “As surely as the Lord lives and you yourself live, I won’t go home unless you go with me.” So, Elisha returned with her.  2 Kings 4:30 (NLT)

I love this story. A woman determined to have her way, because she only wanted the man of God to be involved in healing her son.

As believers in Christ, we hold a great position to encounter the power of God in us.

When we experience that power through faith, people notice.
They are attracted as we gain a good reputation because we remain humble and teachable.

These character traits describe Elisha, the man of God:

  • He was faithful to God.
  • He was close to God.
  • He could be counted on by God.

When you look in the mirror can you say to yourself, “I, too, have these qualities.”

The woman was persistent. Only one thing was needed: her faith in God. Elisha’s relationship to God was the bridge for her to believe in a miracle. Keep standing for your miracle. Keep asking for your miracle. God may ask you to go find a person of God to pray with you. Stay hungry for the Spirit of God to move on our behalf. In Jesus’ name.

The weather is getting warmer and spring is in the air!

Invite someone into your life and share your Jesus to them. Maybe they’ll meet you at the park. God is mighty in every situation.

I love you – be a helper to others.
