“… how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house. “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” Matthew 12:29-30 (NIV)
Haven’t you always found that the relationship with God is dynamic? There’s no time when you can afford to be on “cruise control” with Jesus. We don’t “arrive” until we’re in heaven. Matthew 12:30 says to me that we are either walking towards or walking away from the Lord in everything we do. I’m sure we all choose to walk towards Jesus!
When we stay attentive and listen for His direction through the Holy Spirit; read His Word; pray persistently; worship; and fellowship with other believers, then we are doing the best we can to receive God’s power in our lives. He hears our prayers, and He wants the best for each of us.
He also wants us to share the Good News with others so they can enjoy the peace of knowing they’re destined for heaven and can experience an evolving loving relationship with the Father.
