A Most Wonderful Time of the Year

This is the “most wonderful time of the year,” right? This is the season of giving, sharing, loving and being thankful. Jesus is the reason for our celebration. There would be no Christmas without Him. Imagine what it would be like to not receive the gifts He gave so freely – salvation, redemption, eternal life, a personal relationship with our Father.

The final chapter of the fall celebrations – after Thanksgiving and Christmas – is bringing in the New Year. We greet each other with the salutation, “Happy New Year!” and wish each other every success and joy for 2022 as well as a closer connection with Jesus.

It seems the most valuable words to share in this year-end email message are these passages from the Bible. There is no better way to ready ourselves for the future than with the Word of God. Enjoy and be prepared for what the Lord has in store for you.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

…Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise. Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:20-21
