Change is Inevitable

Although the believers were scattered by persecution, they preached the wonderful news of the Word of God wherever they went. Acts 8:4 (TPT)

Back in the days when the church was being persecuted, change developed the future of the church. This change was not something the church came up with. The unfortunate events that forced change to come came by persecution. Today we are not experiencing the same persecution as the early church. However, our persecution came through a virus called Covid-19. It has forced the whole world to change and adapt to a new normal that has brought fear and confusion. The church too, has changed (although deep down inside it wishes it all was back the same way as before). Well, I’m sure the early church was thinking the same—maybe even saying “God why are you allowing this persecution?”

As we study scripture, it is clear that our God has a better plan for His church… always. We don’t know this plan yet but be encouraged. God always comes through time after time, caring for those who seek Him, restoring those who repent, and loving us unconditionally as we continue to put Him first in all our lives.

Change is inevitable.

We must embrace it as it comes or we will find ourselves frustrated, blaming the devil, and misunderstanding the plan God has for us now. May the Lord now give us a chance to preach the wonderful news of the Word of God wherever we go. For now, wherever this virus takes us.

Lord, we trust YOU in the midst of all circumstances. Church family, wherever you find yourself, let’s keep praying for our Lord to heal His land as we all personally repent of our own wicked ways. Let it start with “ME” – forgive me for my trespasses as I forgive those who trespass against me. Lord, as YOU scatter may we find new opportunities to lead others to your Son, Jesus Christ.

New Season Church, we are taking this Covid surge as it comes, one day at a time. We are planning to meet on Sunday at the park. We also know that this too could change.

We will keep you informed of any changes.

Call someone and check on them, text someone and see how they are doing. If you need any help, please reach out to us. We are praying and thinking about you every day.
