“and Pilate asked him, “Aren’t you going to answer them? What about all these charges they are bringing against you?” But Jesus said nothing, much to Pilate’s surprise.” Mark 15:4-5 (NLT)
Jesus said nothing…
This is the ultimate state of mind I want to achieve.
Jesus could have easily destroyed these people. He could have easily removed himself.
But He didn’t. He didn’t go off track, He said nothing, He did nothing.
In life when things go wrong, we tend to fix it. When people do us wrong, we tend to correct them. Jesus, on the other hand, didn’t need to prove to anyone that He was God. He said nothing and was murdered by evil. Jesus loved and suffered long.
Jesus did it for you. He did it for me.
What do I owe Him? My life. My attention. My vulnerability toward others, even if they taken advantage or hurt me. I must pursue what Jesus continues to do,
FORGIVE!
Forgiveness is great love!
