“Therefore,” says the Lord, “I am against these prophets who steal messages from each other and claim they are from me. I am against these smooth-tongued prophets who say, ‘This prophecy is from the Lord!’ I am against these false prophets. Their imaginary dreams are flagrant lies that lead my people into sin. I did not send or appoint them, and they have no message at all for my people. I, the Lord, have spoken!” Jeremiah 23:30-32 (NLT)
In these times we are living, we all need to be careful we don’t associate with wrong information claiming it is from the Lord. There are many different voices that say they speak the truth and what they say might even seem true, but how can we be certain?
We have a responsibility to spend our days seeking the Lord and His ways. As we continue to do this consistently and faithfully, the Lord will meet us and speak to us with the truth for that day and season. He is our guide in time of trouble. He alone is the voice we need desperately.
Remember, He is not the Spirit of confusion and He does not give us messages or signs to confuse us. The world and the principalities of darkness are setting up a platform to divide and conquer the people – Christian and non-Christian. May we not be influenced by that power. May we be influenced by the Spirit of Jesus, our Lord. Don’t be weary in doing good to each other. As we desire to please our God and love His people, He will lead us out of trouble.
