“Don’t run roughshod over the concerns of your brothers and sisters. Their concerns are God’s concerns, and he will take care of them. We’ve warned you about this before. God hasn’t invited us into a disorderly, unkempt life but into something holy and beautiful—as beautiful on the inside as the outside. If you disregard this advice, you’re not offending your neighbors; you’re rejecting God, who is making you a gift of his Holy Spirit.” 1 Thessalonians 4:6-8 (MSG)
Be concerned about humans
We tend to go our merry way and disregard the needs of the fellow human being right next to us. Especially those in the church. When was the last time you introduced yourself to someone you’ve never met? What about the person in church who has offended you? Have you reconciled with them? Have you asked for forgiveness?
Jesus is calling all of us to a higher calling of love and fellowship. We are a gift to others by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Be beautiful! Be Christ-like!
The world needs a model. Jesus is a model to us and we need to be a model to others.
Let them see Jesus inside and outside of us.
