Gideon was a son of Joash and belonged to a tribe of Israel. When the Lord called him to serve, Gideon represented his father, his clan, and most important, God.
I tell my kids, “When you are out in public, remember who you represent. If you are misbehaving, you are representing your mother and the Lord. Make your mother shine and make the Lord proud.”
Like Gideon, I have been called to serve. So, I go and serve our community in these difficult times. As I go out to our city, I also represent important people: Our church (which is you), my family, and ultimately, our Risen King Jesus.
I will be safe helping those that need help. Thank for your prayers. Thank you for your support. I love you and I miss you. Know I think about you every day and that’s what keeps me going.

Caring for our Community – You can volunteer 2 hours a week!
We continue working alongside other churches with a faith-based organization called the EOC (Emergency Operation Center). We continue assisting with delivering meals to the Vagabond Inn and The Salvation Army where homeless individuals who are elderly and vulnerable to the virus are housed.
We are asking that you consider signing up for 2 hours a week to set food at their front door.
YOU WILL BE SAFE DOING THIS! Pastor Rafael has done it — you can call him at (805) 585-7041 for any questions or concerns.
All you will be doing is taking a box of food from one room and setting it outside the homeless person’s motel room door. There is NO CONTACT and all needed safety gear is provided.
